With the days getting longer and warmer, it is just about time to find the right white wine. It’s hard to go wrong with the light, dry Pinot Grigio.
The Pinot Grigio variety is originally from the cooler North Eastern regions of Italy. Its’ alter ego, the Pinot Gris, is the same grape by a different name. Pinot Gris are popular in Oregon and France.
Pinot Grigio’s tasting notes typically are pear, apple and citrus. It pairs best with seafood, chicken or light pastas. When drinking Pinot Grigio, stay away from dishes with tomatoes, or citrus fruits, because the acid in them won’t go with the wine.
If you would like to taste this light crisp wine, be sure to visit our tasting room. It is open on weekends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. or by appointment during the week.
Cheers!
